I am a MAC user and owner myself, and it would seem that MAC's idea of 'interoperability' is more a very strategised marketing plan than a case of user friendliness. I brought my MAC because irrevocably it's a MAC, and I can't tell you the joy it gives me go into their shiny white stores and purchase shiny white toys that will only work on my shiny white G4 with Leopard OS. Sigh!

Anyone who has problem with OQO model 01+ power supply may visit my blog to get information of a homemade replacement. I got tired to send it back to eXpansys all the time.

OQO has included numerous shortcut keys and combinations to perform all the right functions, these include quick magnification, volume adjustment or mute and Win32 lock instead of Ctrl + Alt + Delete / Lock Workstation. Commonly used keys such as ".", comma and question mark are on the lower row just like the Blackberry.

The power supply does indeed appear to be duff on the 01+ - BTW I did reply to Mr Khan on email. I wonder if the issues are fixed on the model 2?

The power supply seems to be a problem. I have had two which both stopped working within two weeks. Expansys have been very helpful at replacing the faulty units and also providing extra accessories such as the battery adator and double capacity battery.

I find the OQO itself fantastic. I use a USB broadband modem which makes it very versatile.

Rich,

I agree - which is why I bought a USB keyboard from Maplins. Having used the OQO some more, I think its pretty binary - if I really have to work on the road (for example on a report) I will take a laptop. However if I'm going away for a day or so and I'm not sure if I need a full-fat computer, the OQO is ideal.

Cheers, Jon
